What a day...

Sorry it took so long getting the details posted. Bare with me on spelling lol..  So over the last 2 days they have been giving him his 2 month immunization shots. They wanted to watch him to see how he reacted to them. Well as you can see it was a good thing he was there and not home. In the middle of the night his heart dropped to 40 and oxygen to 40. They had to put him back on oxygen and get him on an IV. They tested his blood and it showed that his red blood cell count was way down. So they had to give him blood. They kept him on oxygen even though he really didn't need it. It was to keep him as calm as they could. He hadn't ate sense 9 o'clock last night so he wasn't happy at all. He was finally able to eat at 3 this after noon but only an ounce. They have to give him more blood tomorrow. Hopefully he will do nothing but go up from there. It was heart breaking to walk in and see him back on everything and I couldn't do anything to comfort him.
One of the few good things from the visit was the doctor put it in the orders to have us do Kangarooing (skin to skin) to help with bonding. The nurses thought I was crazy for even asking. So Sunday we will start that. Hope it goes good. Hope he likes his mom. :)

Kyle and I would like to thank everyone for there prayers. Everyone of them helps. We love you all. The doctors says if things go good he should be home by the end of next week. It all depends on him.

  1. I hope Hayden pulls out of this fast. He is a strong little boy. He will love kangarooing with you and Kyle, from all the research I have read it really helps, so I think the nurses are crazy. Our prayers are with your family, and Hayden's home coming it is going to be a great day!
