Day 3

So today the plan was to start on getting the house ready, having our house check done, and do a few other things then go see Hayden tomorrow... Well as you can see all that didn't happen. Last night was a long night, I tried to watch tv and not think about him but that wasn't happening. I started to cry and Kyle said, Do we need to go see him? I said no if you will take me tomorrow... He said ok. So we went up right after the guy left. We walked in and the nurse said Hi mom and dad.. That was crazy to hear. We ask how he was doing. She said well lets look to see what the Doctor wrote down. There wasn't anything, no black marks. She said he is doing GREAT. (I sure hope he is like that when he gets home lol)
It was so good to see him and touch him. If you look close in one of the pictures you can see he even opened his eyes. And you can see his hair more and more. The nurse said we wont be able to tell just what color his hair is until they give him a bath and wash it. And it wasn't any easier leaving him today to come home. But we will see him tomorrow and Saturday. 

2nd day in hospital

Got up this morning after getting a little more sleep then the last few nights, and headed to the hospital. We get there and find out Hayden was taken off his oxygen machine. He is breathing all on his own. Yeaaaaaa Hayden... He is doing great, still has a pretty brused face but is getting lighter. He did open his eyes just a tiny bit. We couldn't tell what color but he did open then.

Today also was a pretty rough day. Today we signed the final papers. As some of you might have notice we changed his name from Hayden Kyle Bone to Hayden Jennings Bone. Let me tell you why. Last night I just felt like Kyle was not his middle name. I couldn't figure out why; it sounded good. Until on our way home for the night. I said Kyle I hope you dont take this wrong, but I feeling Jennings should be his middle name. Jennings is his birthmothers last name. He said Camille I had the same feelings. So after all was signed Kyle and I had a chance to talk with her. We told her we felt so strongly to change his name. She said ok (with a confused look on her face). We told her what we were changing it to and we all sat there and cried. The spirit was so strong in that room we knew everything we have been through the last 3 days was ment to be. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and we wish her the best. Again I can't express nor will I ever beable to, just how much she means to us and what she has done for us. She is our angel...

How We Got Our Little Miracle

Here is the story of our little guy.

We recieved word that a birthmother wanted to meet us after viewing our blog. We were so nervious, but just kept saying, be yourself. Saturday the 13th (yes this last saturday) we met the most remarkable girl we've ever met. This birthmom was so strong so smart and wanted only the best for her baby. Well as you know she wanted us to be the parents of her son. So we went home that night and just told our family. She told us she thought she was due at the end of December. We said ok we can handle that. I said I would get things started Monday morning on my day off. Well all that changed. Sunday night at 1:00 in the morning my cousin called saying the birth mother is at the hospital and is dilated to an 8. We got a hold of her mom who said that we will be having a baby within the next 24 hours. WOW is all we could say. So Monday morning we got up and started the phone calls. That afternoon we finally made it to the hospital to be with her and to wait for our little man. The doctor said the longer we can keep him in the better. He wanted to get 2 steroid shots in him to help develop his lungs. Again the amazing women she was she laid on her back  for 24 hours and as still as she could so he wouldn't come out. The hours went by and we decided to head to the place we were staying (which was across the street thanks Diane) and try to get some rest. Well Tuesday morning we get a call, "They just broke her water" so off to the hospital we went and about 3 hours later Hayden arrived. He was breathing all on his own (yeaaaa). So we rushed him off to the ICU and as you can see that is where he is and will be for a while. He is almost breathing 100% but is hooked up to the machine just in case. Everything looks great so far, he is a fighter. They said he will be there until his due date which is the end of January. I know that is way off from what she was told in the begining. He is 28 weeks old now. He weighs 2 pounds 12 ounces. We are hoping and praying he just grows like a weed so we can bring him home earlier than the end of January.

Birthmom is doing great and did a great job. Kyle and I can't say enough about this girl, how much love we have for her. I really hope she knows what she has done for us. I can't even imagine how tough this must be and how strong she is. There is a never ending love for her and will always be in our hearts.

National Adoption Month

For those of you who don't know, next month, November, is National Adoption Month. We're going to be featured on another blog sometime during November. Here's a little sneak peek at our feature and well as our thoughts on open adoption:

After trying for many years to have children, we realized that our family was going to come in a different but very special way. It was then that we started to research adoption and found out about open adoption. It seemed to be just the thing for our situation. We’d like our children to know about their heritage. We hope that they would feel a connection with their birth parents, to open the circle of love to include all those who care for them. Most of all, we want to let our children feel the miracle of adoption; that they are special in the way they came to be part of our family.

The last month has been a crazy one! Kyle had the opportunity of helping his brother on his big bull elk hunt. They were able to, after a long day's work, finally get a great bull. At the same time, Kyle and I were also looking for a couple deer to fill our tags. We had so much fun tromping through the woods together. Working as a team, we finally snuck up on one. I ranged it and Kyle released the arrow.

As you can see, the deer lived to see another day, but Kyle managed to bag a very nice aspen tree.

All About Kyle

Kyle is such a fabulous husband, friend, son, and brother. The best thing about Kyle is he is so excited about everything in life. He loves to hunt and fish, play softball, play with his nieces and nephews, hike, watch football, and spend time with family. For me, I love spending time with Kyle because he is always making me laugh by pretending he is E.T. He has such an adventurous spirit. He's never afraid to try new hobbies. Kyle's the kind of person that makes everyone smile when he enters the room. He's a very easy going, go-with-the-flow kind of guy. Yet he also takes the responsibility of providing for his family seriously. He's a hard-worker, a lesson learned from spending summers on his grandpa's farm when he was a teenager.

Family is extremely important to Kyle. He hunts with his brothers and father every fall. He looks forward to holidays when everyone can come together and talk about the good ole days.

Kyle is also has a special place in his heart for kids, probably because he's still a kid at heart himself! For the past several years, Kyle has worked with the local youth: taking them camping and hiking, teaching them scouting skills, encouraging them to make good decisions, and sometime even being a shoulder to cry on. All of the youth love when he's around because he can connect to them and sympathize with them. Plus, he's always a ball of fun!

I know for all of these reasons and more, Kyle will make a GREAT dad!

All About Camille

Camille is such a wonderful wife and friend. What I love about her most is her personality. She is so much fun to be around. She is always smiling and laughing. She’s never afraid to try new things. Because of her adventurous spirit, every day with her is something special.

Camille has a tremendous amount of faith in and dedication to God. She works hard to fulfill her calling in the primary presidency. She looks forward to spending time with the kids every week.

Camille loves spending time with family and friends whether  it’s riding four wheelers out at the sand dunes, going hunting, fishing, or if it is just sitting around the campfire listening or telling stories. Camille loves to play sports. Her favorite is softball, but she also enjoys volleyball.

Kids love being around Camille. She has a way of making each child she meets feel loved and special. As soon as she walks through the door, all the nieces and nephews shout, “Aunt Camille!” and run to hug her. She’s very nurturing at heart, always willing to step in and change diapers or rock a baby to sleep.  I know she’ll make a great mom and I can’t wait for us to have our own little one.
