First few nights

So ya we were NOT ready for only 2 hours of sleep a night. Lol The first night, you should have seen the circus we had going on here. We had him in our room and every move, every sound he made one of us was getting up to check on him. Finally at midnight it was feeding time and I looked at Kyle and said "there is no use for both of us loosing sleep". So off to bed Kyle went and Hayden and I stayed up until 3. We finally calmed things down with him laying on my chest and slept for 2 hours. So as you can see last night it was Kyle's turn. Things started off pretty good. He was in his own room with the monitor in the hall, until midnight. So off Kyle went and was there until I woke up at 7:30. We got up gave him his first bath at home, which he loves. And went to the doctors for a check up. He is at 6 lbs 13 oz and 18 1/2 in long. And now I'm awake and the two kids are out...
 Oh the joys of parenthood...

Yip you guessed it. Hayden is finally home. He brought him home today around 3. He is doing great. He weighs 6lbs 10oz. It was weird driving home with him. I kept wanted to check on him and Kyle kept saying he's ok the monitor isn't going off. lol Here is some pictures

Daddy feeding him for the last time in the hospital.
This is Lisa, she took Kyle and I right in, made us feel so comfortable. She was our saving angel. We Lover her to death. She was always giving Kyle crap about hunting and telling Hayden to not hunt. lol We will miss her.

Ok I'm ready.

 First car ride.

The few days

Sorry I haven't been filling you all in. But we haven't been home. We have been doing whats called "rooming in with Hayden" The 3 of us sit in a room there at the hospital all see if we are ready to come home. He is still having some breathing problems but mostly at nights. They had to do his car seat test again and he didn't even make it 5 minutes then it took 45 min to recover. Its all just learning. We were warned about this. We can be told over and over about all this stuff but it still doesn't make it ANY easier leaving him after being with him all day. We will be doing this again tomorrow as well until he comes home. He is up to 6lbs 3oz yup getting big. Here is a few picture of the last few days. Also click on http://www.our365.com/ to see his hospital pictures. Search until his birth date 11/16/10 or my name.

Kyle had him smiling so big but just couldn't catch it.

Kangarooing

So today my mom and I went to see the little man and do do some kangarooing.. He is doing great. He drank his bottle all without any trouble. Thanks to the nurse that figured out how he likes it. After he ate it was a little mom and Hayden time. I will admit it was a little weird at first but I LOVED every minute of it. He was breathing at 100% while snuggling with me... Can't wait to do it again. Wish we could lay down so I was a little easier. Oh well.. Mom said sorry she forgot her camera. haha lol Sorry no updated pictures just wanted to let you all know how it went.

What a day...

Sorry it took so long getting the details posted. Bare with me on spelling lol..  So over the last 2 days they have been giving him his 2 month immunization shots. They wanted to watch him to see how he reacted to them. Well as you can see it was a good thing he was there and not home. In the middle of the night his heart dropped to 40 and oxygen to 40. They had to put him back on oxygen and get him on an IV. They tested his blood and it showed that his red blood cell count was way down. So they had to give him blood. They kept him on oxygen even though he really didn't need it. It was to keep him as calm as they could. He hadn't ate sense 9 o'clock last night so he wasn't happy at all. He was finally able to eat at 3 this after noon but only an ounce. They have to give him more blood tomorrow. Hopefully he will do nothing but go up from there. It was heart breaking to walk in and see him back on everything and I couldn't do anything to comfort him.
One of the few good things from the visit was the doctor put it in the orders to have us do Kangarooing (skin to skin) to help with bonding. The nurses thought I was crazy for even asking. So Sunday we will start that. Hope it goes good. Hope he likes his mom. :)

Kyle and I would like to thank everyone for there prayers. Everyone of them helps. We love you all. The doctors says if things go good he should be home by the end of next week. It all depends on him.
